It is a misconception that pop music should be carefree. This is the feeling one gets by venturing into the shining, dark pop universe Bastian Emil has created with Grand Prix. The presumption of pop music is re-created and appears now as dark and majestic. Beauty and death goes hand in hand in Grand Prix - this is march music, requiem, and love songs at the same time. It is music for people with fast and sensitive hearts. After releasing two critically acclaimed E.Ps in 2016 and 2017 (Semper Primus Tandem Mortem and The Hour of Victory), and touring US, UK and Europe with First Hate, Grand Prix's debut album is to be put out in 2018.
